NG 509

New game 509 is now available.

Round 1: R M E E F U R H R

The tempting FUHRER (or FUEHRER) is not valid, due to only being listed with a capital letter.  I fell into this trap.

My selection: [invalid -- FUHRER]
Best: FEMUR

Round 2: A S C S T F O C I

My selection: ACCOSTS

Round 3: Target 264 from 75 8 5 4 10 6

My selection: 264 = 4*(75 - 8 - 6 + 5)

Round 4: N A P U I T M O S

My selection: TINAMOUS

Round 5: T D E A E T I N R

I remembered the full monty from this mix just a few seconds too late.

My selection: RETAINED
Best: INTREATED

Round 6: Target 294 from 100 5 2 1 10 4

My selection: 294 = (4 + 2)*(5*10 - 1)

Round 7: O K A I B I C D N

My selection: BACON
Best: CONIDIA

Round 8: Target 316 from 75 2 4 8 7 5

My selection: 316 = (75 + 4)*8/2

Round 9: UNIFY GRIP

My selection: [N/A -- conundrum chosen explicitly]
Best: PURIFYING

1. FREER. FUHRER/FUEHRER weren't listed
2. ACCOSTS
3. 264 = (75-10+6-5)*4
4. POSTMAN/TAMPONS/AMOUNTS. Opted out of PTOMAINS, is it valid?
5. INTREATED
6. 294 = (100/2-1)*(10-4)
7. BIONIC
8. 316 = (75+4)*8/2 or (same order) 75*4+8*2
9. PURIFYING - 1.1s

Yes, PTOMAINS is valid -- PTOMAIN is listed as a variant of PTOMAINE, and the definition given for PTOMAINE is definitely pluralisable.

FUHRER/FUEHRER, alas, is not valid -- it is only listed in the capitalised form, despite having a generic sense listed. I fell into this trap.
