*blinks* Not sure what your anagram program came up with, but the conundrum answer is TOUGHNESS. I'd thought you'd have heard of that!
Mine came up with OUGHTNESS!
3. ( 75 + 100 + 2 - 4) * 6 - 50 = 988 ( 2 off)6. (75 + 25 + 10) * 9 + 4 + 4 = 998Ron
