It looks like SBS are putting Countdown (the English version of Letters and Numbers that is..) on again. It's on at 4.20am Monday (tomorrow) morning, and is on at the same time for the next two Sunday mornings at least, and presumably thereafter. I need some real time practice.

Countdown is also available on SBS on demand at http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/11847747820/Countdown

Thanks, Louise. I'm afraid that REFRIED is not listed -- this caught me out a few weeks back. The safe anagram is FERRIED.

Thanks for the information about Countdown, Mike. I may have to give it a go again. SBS's numbering is as erratic as ever, as they are claiming Season 1, episodes 8, 9, 10, 11, 17, and 18. What they mean by "season 1" is the 64th season of Countdown, occupying the first half of 2011.

I played all 5 games on the SBS website over the weekend. I found my experience here really helped.
