NG 527

New game 527 is now available.

Round 1: L A E K C T E O S

My selection: TACKLES

Round 2: T C T E T A O N F

My selection: OCTANE

Round 3: Target 465 from 25 5 10 6 2 3

My selection: 465 = 3*5*(25 + 6)

Round 4: R H S C R O E U O

My selection: CRUSHER
Best: OCHREOUS

Round 5: M F O T E N G C I

I found GENOMIC a little after time.

My selection: FOMENT
Best: FIGMENT

Round 6: Target 682 from 100 50 25 2 9 10

My selection: 682 = (25*10 + 100 - 9)*2

Round 7: A S D M E R O N P

I saw PANDORES / OPERANDS after time, but even that turned out not to be best.

My selection: PANDERS
Best: POMANDERS

Round 8: Target 531 from 50 100 4 5 2 6

I had a close call here; the first "solution" that I wrote down used the 100 twice.  Fortunately I had written an alternative, and caught the error in time.

My selection: 531 = 6*(100 - 4) - 50 + 5

Round 9: SHOWED NUN

My selection: NEWSHOUND (7.9s)

1. TACKLES
2. FATTEN
3. 465 = (3*5+6-2)*25 - 10
4. CRUSHER
5. FETING
6. 682 = (10*25+100-9)*2
7. x POMERANDS. Why did I think this could be a word? Otherwise: PANDERS
8. 531 = 5*2*50 + 100/4 + 6
9. NEWSHOUND - 12.7s

Sam: You were pretty close in round 7 to the full monty of POMANDERS. Maybe that's what you were trying to think of?

Quite possibly. An erroneous mental mix of pomanders, pomeranians, and Pomeranz.
